Frequently Asked Questions

Is it too late to register?

No is not too late to register, registration is open all season.  To register click here.

What do I get for my registration fees?

  • When you sign up in the fall, you get both the the fall and spring season (16 games)
  • Your child gets a uniform, which is a shirt, shorts and socks.
  • Supplemental soccer insurance to cover any additional costs, not covered by your insurance

Your fees also cover the cost of:

  • National and local dues
  • Area fees (supplies, postage, clinics, tournaments)
  • Regional costs (nets, goals, marking equipment, repairs, field maintenance, instructional material for coaches and referees and many other items)

I don't know anything about soccer. Can I still help coach?

Yes! AYSO provides training and materials. Being a coach involves skills you probably already have in addition to specific soccer knowledge. If you are uncertain, try being an assistant coach

How does AYSO work ? How may I help?

The AYSO organization is run entirely by volunteers. You may help as a coach, referee, team parent, Board Member or in other areas. AYSO will provide complete training.

What is the refund policy?

Refunds

Any such fee shall be refunded in the case of any player who withdraws two weeks prior to the first scheduled game following the participant’s registration.  Any participant who withdraws within two weeks prior to the first scheduled game following the participant’s registration shall have the fee refunded, less the cost of the uniform (unless not issued or returned unused), the National portion of the registration fee, and the Area fee assessed the Wichita Regions.  No fees will be refunded after the first scheduled game.

All refund requests must be made in writing, by the parent or guardian of the participant, to the Regional Registrar.  Fees refunded per the above paragraph will be based upon the written request received by the Registrar.

What is the rain out policy?

AYSO 105 rain out policy:

It is the general policy of AYSO 105 that all games are played rain or shine. We don’t play if dangerous conditions exist, such as lightning or weather warnings in the area. The Safety Director will coordinate with the Regional Commissioner by 7am on Saturday to make a final decision on if the games will be played. If the games are cancelled, a message will be left on the hotline (554-9997). Every effort will be made to update the website as is possible. A board member will be at the fields all of the time to determine if these conditions exist. Games canceled due to rain or any other reason will try to be rescheduled.
